Clip of My PhD Hooding

My pal, Kelley Mathews, shot this. Kind of dark, but you can see the essentials. I love the way UTD does this: the professor who supervised my committee walked up there with me and helped the dean of the grad school do the hooding. The first hug came from my committee chairman. The second came from the dean of Arts and Humanities, who also served on my committee and made it possible for me to choose Greek as my qualifying language. The entire ceremony lasted less than an hour!
